The Five Families
Independence Association is a local nonprofit based in Brunswick, Maine. It was started by five families who wanted more for their children than the institutional care that existed at the time.
Today
Independence Association opens new doors, pushes boundaries and creates opportunities. We support community inclusion and equal opportunity while celebrating every individual’s abilities.
