The Five Families

Independence Association started as a tiny educational center. It was put together by just five families who wanted more for their children than they could get from the systems that existed at the time.

Independence Association was founded by area families in 1966 to assist adults and children with disabilities in obtaining full and inclusive lives in their chosen communities.
