Learning Center Activities: Recently the Topsham Trailriders hosted snowmobile rides for the Learning Center.  Everyone had a great time taking turns riding and warming up with hot chocolate.  Check out the pictures on the Learning Center Page!

Pleasant Hill:  The walls are up and roof is on!  Work continues through the cold on the new home for five of the residents of Freeport Town Square.  This brand new home is located on the corner of Baribeau Drive and Pleasant Hill Road.  Stop by and see the progress.

Mae Lane: Just before Christmas, two of the residents of Freeport Town Square moved into their new home on Mae Lane in Topsham.   Located just around the corner from the Founders building, the home is on a quiet, dead-end street, with a private backyard.  Prior to the residents moving in, the gazebo, formerly located at Freeport Town Square, was moved to the new home for the residents to enjoy when Spring arrives.

Have Camera, Will Travel:  Recently, The Times Record wrote an article about Steven Sharp, IA’s network administrator.  Click here to read the full article.

Community Service Award:  Jimbo Loveitt of Independence Association was recently recognized by the Cumberland County YMCA with the Cyrus Y Hagge Strong Community Builder Award.  Jimbo has been with Independence Association for five years and works currently as a Service Leader for the Day Program.  Jimbo received this award because of his “excellence in providing quality of life, diverse activities and great support for all individuals".

Holiday Dinner:  On December 14th, Independence Association held its Annual Holiday Dinner and Dance.  The Day Program cooked a delicious turkey dinner for everyone, with the help of the residences.  There was music and dancing and a good time was had by all.
